East Credit: Family Homes From $820K, Big-Box Savings at Heartland
Bounded by Mavis, Creditview, Eglinton and Britannia, East Credit is one of central Mississauga's largest family neighbourhoods โ detached homes starting near $820,000 and a big-box retail core at Heartland Town Centre that can shave real dollars off a household's monthly spend. It's the value-and-convenience play in the middle of the city.
About East Credit
East Credit occupies central Mississauga between Creditview Road and Mavis Road, running from Eglinton Avenue up to Britannia Road. It's a large, predominantly residential community of detached homes and townhouses built mostly through the 1980s and 1990s, popular with families for its schools, parks, and โ critically for household budgets โ its immediate access to Heartland Town Centre, one of the GTA's largest big-box retail districts, plus quick connections to Highways 403 and 401.
Housing here spans a wide band. Current listings run from roughly $820,000 for entry detached and townhouse product up past $1.79 million for larger or upgraded homes, and Zolo puts the neighbourhood’s average listing price at about $1.21 million, roughly level with the Mississauga average (1% above, 14 September 2026). Renting here is a split market. Of the East Credit rentals Zolo listed on 23 September 2026, two-bedrooms asked $1,750 to $2,300 a month, and seven of those nine were basement suites. Three-bedrooms asked $2,200 to $3,900: the three basement and lower-level suites among them asked $2,200 to $3,000, and townhouses and houses ran up to $3,900. No source publishes an East Credit asking-rent median, so this page does not show one. The steadiest financial story in East Credit isn't rent at all. It's the everyday-cost advantage of living beside Heartland.
